Blanch Correctional

Blanch Correctional was a private penitentiary owned and operated by Blanch Industries, a multinational conglomerate. Blanch Correctional was built in response to the prison overpopulation issue plaguing the State of California, particularly pertaining to superhuman inmates. The prison was built before negotiations with San Diego County were officially concluded, forcing Mayor Mayweather’s hand in response to public demand for more inmate capacity.

Blanch Correctional is the only prison in San Diego County exclusively dedicated to handling superhuman and other ‘special case’ inmates. When it opened, Blanch Correctional took in overflow prisoners both from the superhuman wings of existing San Diego prisons, and from the overcrowded superhuman prisons in Los Angeles County.

Following the White Incident and the seizure of Blanch Industries assets by the US Government, Blanch Correctional became a government-run prison under the oversight of The Federal Bureau Of Prisons. As a part of the reconstruction of the prison following the White Incident, it was expanded, and had an additional annex built that serves as the ‘headquarters’ for The B-Team.

Blanch Correctional has the capacity to hold 100 inmates. The following superhuman criminal offenders are currently incarcerated in Blanch Correctional (with charges, special needs, and behavior reports included):
